About
Sarah has been an Acupuncturist for over 15 years. She has a Masters in Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts. As a NCCAOM Diplomat of Acupuncture, she has achieved the highest level of certification in her field. She also completed a hospital tour in Hefei, China at the AnHui Hospital for further study. She has been a Research Acupuncturist for both the Samueli Institute and WRIISC (War Related Illness and Injury Study Center), working on projects to research the benefits of specialized treatment on Veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post traumatic syndrome (PTS). Her work with veterans lead Sarah to explore trauma more deeply with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute (SETI) completing the core curriculum and branching out to Somatic Touch Skills, Somatic Resilience and Regulation and a certificate for Somatic Attachment Therapy. She has been combining Somatic Touch Skills and Acupuncture for over ten years. Both are considered “regulation therapies” to help a person’s nervous system move through unprocessed and stuck trauma into a place of completion and greater harmony and resilience.
